Photography as Impressionism?

With all of the crazy weather of last december in the midwest, I was inspired to start a study of atmospheric effects using photography.  So far, it is interesting to me how these images evoke early impressionists like Turner.  We’ll see what develops, but I plan on getting precipitated on a lot this next year.
