Hours of Idleness-A Photographer's Journey in St. Louis

Dirty Kitchen

Posted in photography by Jason Gray on November 17, 2009

These shots were taken several years ago (just before I decided to invest in my first SLR and to learn photography), and they represent my first time “thinking” about the expressive qualities of picture-taking.  I have no idea what led me to photograph my very dirty, Chicago-apartment kitchen that January morning long ago, but I stumbled across these today while cleaning out my external hard-drive, and I felt a tinge of nostalgia that I wanted to share.  For anyone who has dedicated themselves to a creative pursuit, there is always a special place in your heart for your first, clumsily naive forays into a medium.  These are those….

All shot with a Canon, PowerShot SD870 IS Digital Elph.
