Hours of Idleness-A Photographer's Journey in St. Louis

Another Levee Experience

Posted in art, photography by Jason Gray on August 8, 2012

Another trip to the Mississippi River Levee, and another 100 degree day… This drought and record temperature combo is getting to be ridiculous. Anyway, this time I visited the Lewis and Clark State Memorial Park in Illinois (just north of STL) to shoot at the spot where the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers converge. This spot also represents the symbolic starting point for Lewis and Clark’s journey into the west, and includes a replica of their historic fort.

All shot with Nikon D300 and Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G lens.
