Hours of Idleness-A Photographer's Journey in St. Louis

Monica, Part Two

Posted in Uncategorized by Jason Gray on December 12, 2017

There is certainly something to be said for having the lucky opportunity to work with the same model on more than one occasion, especially if the model and the photographer operate on the same wavelength. This is the case with Monica, who I have been promising a second shoot for since our first session in May.

With Monica, our first session was shot almost exclusively in available light, but for this second session, I choose a location where that was not possible. In addition to the challenge of using artificial light, my primary camera was away at Nikon for repair, so these were all shot on a 10-year old backup body (goes to show that the camera is merely a tool).

Gear used:

Nikon D300

Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D

Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro

Yongnuo Flashes and Transmitter

Nikon Sb-600 Flash
